Human rights advocate and former trade union leader Dr Isaac Newton Kinity is set to officially launch his presidential campaign website on Thursday as he steps up preparations for the 2027 General Election.
In an exclusive interview with the Nyanza Review, Kinity said the website, which has been under development for the past month, is designed to strengthen the campaign’s digital presence, expand public engagement and connect with young voters.
Speaking from Connecticut, United States, Kinity noted that the platform would particularly target Generation Z, which he described as a significant voting bloc, while providing a digital channel for communicating his campaign agenda and engaging Kenyans.
“Our focus is to make our campaign accessible to Kenyans, particularly young people, through digital platforms. We want to communicate our vision, share our policy priorities and create opportunities for citizens to engage with the issues affecting the country,” he said.
The website will feature information about Kinity’s background, campaign vision, policy priorities, public engagements and updates as he seeks the presidency under the Jirani Mzalendo Asili Party of Kenya (J-MAPK).
Kinity, a former Secretary-General of the Kenya Civil Servants Union (KCSU), has spent more than 35 years advocating for human rights, workers’ rights and accountable governance. His campaign has identified corruption, the cost of living, unemployment, education, healthcare and workers’ welfare among its key areas of focus.
He is expected to return to Kenya later next month ahead of a series of public engagements as he prepares for the presidential contest.
The website launch will mark another step in the campaign’s efforts to establish its public presence ahead of the 2027 polls.
