MP Gathoni Wamuchomba Slams President William Ruto Leadership,” A looter of Public Resources”

Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has slammed President William Ruto’s leadership, saying they have become political intolerant, when criticized by the opposition.

Speaking during the launch of new Headquarters of the Democratic Action Party (DAP-K), Chui House in Nairobi, she called out the president for trying to suppress the voice of opposition.

“Whenever a regime is uncomfortable to tolerate dissenting views and  opinions, it reverts to suppression, excessive suppression and that is what we are witnessing in this country,” she stated.

The adamant ally of former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua further supported the youths’ form of expression through social media, as one one of their rights. She allude the cartoons drawn by youths is promotion of talent, championed by the new education curriculum Competence Based Curriculum (CBC).

“The young people have the right to speak and express themselves ,whether on Facebook,  X or wherever and they are talented to draw even cartoons! And that is why we introduced CBC so that we can tap that talent so that children can come out holistically and share out what they are talented to do let the children express themselves,” She said.

She condemned the attacks aimed at Mt. Kenya region including the recent attack by goons at church service where Pastor Dorcas Rigathi had attended in Nyandarua and meetings, send by political elites she termed have disregard the rule of law. The sentiments hitting out at former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga.

“The level of political we are witnessing has started off in Mt. Kenya region. Teargas are being thrown in churches, we witnessed one in Nyandarua twice, the level of intolerance at meetings, goons are being sent so that we can be scattered. This level of intolerance is an indication an individuals want to rule the country with disregard of the rue of the law,” she further stated.

She said they will fearlessly call out the Kenya Kwanza government for what they have become, including exploitation of national resources.

“We must call you for what you have become.  A crippling dictator of this country, a looter of public resources, a violator of human rights. We cannot allow you take this country to that direction,” she said.

She further called out the government for delayed response on the increase cases of femicide in the country, and an update on the Kware killings suspect.
