Sakaja Super Cup final slated for tomorrow will see Kawasaki battle for the title with Githurai All Stars (GAS), after impressive semi finals. In the semis, Kawasaki crashed South C 1 nil, while GAS punched Shauri Moyo 3 goals to 2.
South C Rangers and Nairobi Starlets are the winners of the bronze medal in the 2024, second edition of the Sakaja Super Cup.
South C Rangers defeated Shauri Moyo United 3-2 to claim the third-place spot in the playoffs staged today, Thursday 19, 2024 at the Dandora stadium. Consequently, South C rangers has secured themselves Kshs 1 million cash prize.
Nairobi Starlets from Kangemi in Westlands, on the other hand defeated emphatically Soweto Starlets from Kayole in Embakasi Central in a 6-0 thumping to secure third place setting a big stage for the grand finale set to be played tomorrow.
Centered under an exciting ambiance , South C Rangers came up against a resilient Shauri Moyo United who gave no breather to defending champions Githurai All stars in the Nairobi East finals on Wednesday.
In the grand finale slated for performance tomorrow, Shrink Park from Kasarani takes on South C Queens in the ladies’ category grand finale. Last years runners up Kawasaki Sports Club from South B will be looking forward to thump defending champions Githurai All Stars in the grand finale, in the boys ‘ category. This is more of a rematch of the 2023 final which was won by Githurai All Stars, popularly known as GAS as both teams made it into the final in Sakaja Super cup season 1. The champions of the Boys’ category will win Ksh 3 million prize money as the runners-up receive Ksh 2 million.
The so much awaited Sakaja Super Cup Season 2 will culminate in an exciting grand finale tomorrow, Friday, December 20, 2024, at the iconic Dandora Stadium with the event expected to showcase the finest talents in grassroots football and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship.
