Saboti Member of Parliament (MP) Caleb Amisi has mourned the passing of George Oduor, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, longest serving aide.
In his message of condolences, Amisi described Oduor as a gentle Marshall, firm yet humble, who executed his duties diligently since early 1990s, without rubbing shoulders with anyone during his time of service.
“Gentle field marshal ,a revolutionary who never harmed anyone in his line of duty, since Jaramogi time to date, longest serving bodyguard to any political figure dead or alive ,a man of stellar security protection acumen ,alert with military precision yet calm and humble,” Amisi wrote on X.
The ODM Lawmaker further expressing the uniqueness of the fallen aide during his times, a charisma that is incomparable, lightly asking the the late to not forget telling the founding fathers of the nation, the live spirit of democracy is still on, with new youthful energies in the course.
With the spirit of Luhya Leader from Trans Nzoia Count, the late Kijana Wamalwa fully reincarnated in him, keeping alive his moves in the quest for a better Kenya.

Go yee, and greet Jaramogi, let him know that the fight for Democracy is still on and it has received new players, greet Martin Shikuku, greet Wamalwa Kijana, tell him there is Kijana power making his moves known, don’t forget Tom Mboya ,Odhiambo Mbai ,JM Kariuki, Pio Gama Pinto, Robert Ouko, Peter Kibisu, Masinde Muliro ,Kenneth Matiba ,these are known people to your struggle for a better Kenya. May the Almighty Lord Rest Your Soul In Eternal Peace !,” Amisi further expressing his sorrow.
Commonly known among his constituents as Kijana Power, Amisi has vocally championed for a more democratic and ‘sober’ nation, with his popular phrase ‘Kenya needs a renaissance,’ a new energy in looking into matter of national importance, as well as national politics.
Odour passed on Wednesday, April 2, at Nairobi West Hospital, weeks after his admission where he has been receiving treatment. The news of his death was announced by ODM Director of Communication Philip Etale.
