Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection Dr.Alfred Mutua has today while addressing job seekers going abroad, warned of actions to be taken against recruitment agencies citing claims of having deregistered over 500 agencies exploiting people.
Dr.Mutua has advised job seekers looking to work abroad to be vigilant of such con agencies claiming to have the certifications with the intentions of trapping them into paying for non-existing jobs.
Following the recent calls by the CS on his X pages of jobs abroad recruitments, Mutua has raised an alarm that imposters have come to con people into believing they offer jobs which in reality, they don’t have.
“We had to call the DCI to raid an office in town that had been opened with posters online that they are the ones recruiting people for Qatar, that they come with 150,000 and people were ready to pay,” the CS said.
The Kazi Majuu program, which is one of the initiatives of the government to curb unemployment crisis, has had beneficiaries who have sent a message to the political class to refrain from any form of interferences with the initiative.
The CS has further warned of arrests and charges on individuals operating illegal and con recruitment agencies in the country with little or no authorization.
