In a dramatic encounter, Manchester City kept their unbeaten Premier League record intact with a last-minute goal from John Stones, securing a 2-1 victory against Wolverhampton.
Wolverhampton took an early lead with a goal from Jorgen Strand just seven minutes into the match, leaving City to chase an equalizer. Josko Gvardiol came through with a superb goal in the 33rd minute, leveling the score before halftime.
The second half saw frustrations mount for Erling Haaland, who struggled to find scoring opportunities, even misplacing a pass that went out for a throw-in.
As stoppage time approached, Stones rose above Craig Dawson to head in what seemed like a crucial goal. Initially, the celebration was muted when the goal was disallowed due to Bernardo Silva’s offside position interfering with Wolves’ goalkeeper, Jose Sa.
However, after a brief delay, the goal was awarded, giving City a late 2-1 win. With this victory, Manchester City sits in second place in the Premier League, now on 20 points with a goal difference of +10, just one point behind leaders Liverpool.
