Top Kenyan content creator and media personality Azziad Nasenya has broken her silence following allegations that she owes significant sums of money. Rather than directly addressing the claims, Azziad took to social media with a message of hope, emphasizing resilience through life’s ups and downs.
“Can you see the sun, how bright it is? Today is a beautiful day. You know that’s just how life is; it’s gonna be dark, stormy, but at the end of the day, the light will shine and the good things will take course,” she said in an Instagram story.
The controversy began when blogger Edgar Obare shared claims from anonymous sources accusing Azziad of borrowing large amounts of money and failing to repay them. One alleged creditor, described as a long-time friend, claimed she borrowed KSh 400,000 with a promise to pay it back within three days, but months have passed without reimbursement.
Another accusation came from TikToker Mary Musyoka, who publicly stated that Azziad had failed to repay a KSh 300,000 loan. Musyoka alleged that she lent Azziad the money after the influencer reached out, claiming to be in financial distress while abroad.
Despite the allegations circulating online, Azziad has not directly refuted or confirmed the claims. Instead, she has continued to engage with her audience, focusing on positive affirmations and personal growth.
The allegations have sparked mixed reactions, with some social media users defending Azziad while others demand accountability. As discussions continue, many are watching to see if she will issue a formal statement addressing the matter.
