A renown X user identified as George Diano has called out Kibet Bull, who was released yesterday after he was reportedly abducted two weeks ago.

I’m his X account, Diano claims that a week before Kibet was abducted, they had a business deal, where he paid him for the deal. However, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations sleuth who seemingly or rather allegedly abducted Kibet intercepted the message and is using it to torment Diano. He and his unmentioned Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), have been accused of sponsoring Kibet.

“One week before @Kibet_bull was abducted, I had sent him some money as payment for a gig he had completed a week prior. The dci or whoever abducted him intercepted the messages and decided to fabricate a narrative to justify his abduction. Upon discovering that I work with an NGO, they accused my boss of funding Kibet and other online activists,” he revealed.

He further narrated that his boss has been imperilled of a possible closure of the organization that has existed for more than 20 years, for a crime he or she did not commit.

“They threatened my boss, who is not even Kenyan and not even active on X, with the closure of the organization. Mind you the organization has been in operation since 2004. This is how I was silenced—over money that had nothing to do with Kibet’s criticism of the government,” Diano cried out.

The social media enthusiastic has been unlawful dismissed through unpaid leave, as investigations pend.

He confirmed that he has pleaded with Kibet to come for his aid, and set records straight so that he can be vindicated for crimes he did not commit. Nevertheless, Kibet has remained adamant and reluctant to respond.

“I’ve tried to plead with Kibet Bull to come out and denounce the claims of him being funded by me, but apparently, he has gone silent despite assuring me yesterday morning that he would do so,” he admitted.

“He has completely thrown me under the bus, yet he knows I have nothing to do with his online activism. If there was someone who was funding him then that’s none of my concern. I just gave him a gig just like any other influencers, in fact I paid him together with three other influencers the same day,” he added.

The X user has also been accused of being involved in Malema TV, that is connected to criticizing the government, something he has strongly repudiated. He went further defending the station claiming that it has been reporting as aligned by the code of conduct of journalism and somehow, even supported President William Ruto’s administration.

“I’m sure I am not the only person who sent Kibet money that week; this is pure malice. It is also being said that I am involved with Malema TV and that its chairman, Gilbert Kiptalam is my father. Those allegations are baseless and utterly ridiculous to say the least. I have never met Gilbert nor been associated with Malema TV,” he said.

Diano who was reportedly tortured by the officers assured that the insults, harassments and intimidations will not scare him to stand by the truth.

“I’ve accepted my fate. But that won’t kill my spirit to fight for better governance.  I will continue to resist bureaucracy despite the intimidations and blackmails. Kibet bull should come out & tell his side of the story, otherwise I’ll treat him as an enemy and a govt proxy,” he assured.

“Let me heal from the wounds these people have inflicted on me. I’ll come back stronger to continue with the fight. Right now, I’m weak and helpless but a man must soldier on,” Diano added.
