Prof. Kithure Kindiki Breaks Silence amid Rumoured Fallout with Ruto

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has broken his silence amid speculations that he is not in good terms with President William Ruto, following a no show at the State New Year’s Eve Dinner at Kisii yesterday night, where the President attended among other dignitaries.

In social media platforms, the second in power has urged Kenyans to focus on working hard to ensure Kenya sails economically, socially and politically, as they welcome the new year 2025.

“The beginning of the year provides all of us with the opportunity to renew our collective focus on project Kenya. Now is the time for each citizen to freshen the resolve to work harder towards a better future and a more cohesive nation,” wrote Prof. Kithure Kindiki.

He further heightened the need to show commitment in fulfilling the vision of having a nation that is devoid of fear where citizens enjoy their freedom, while asking for God’s favour and blessings upon the country.

“This way, we will expedite the realization of our vision of a society free from fear and want. May God bless this our land and nation,” he asserted.

There have been rumours going round on social media claiming that the DP and President William Ruto have been at loggerheads following the continued and up surging cases of abductions, that propelled Kenyans on December 31, 2024 to demonstrate.

It is reported that the DP do not read from the same script with the President and his allies, prompting to the fallout. The DP do not support the alleged abductions by the government, therefore, the cause for the alleged altercation.
