Uriri Member of Parliament, Hon. Mark Nyamita has attacked Migori Governor, H.E Ochilo Ayacko over his fallout with most of the MPs in the county.

While addressing a crowd in Kokuro in Migori County, the MP dismissed claims that he is the problem, affirming that the Governor is at war with everyone in the county. He appended that Ochilo Ayacko is sooner starting a fight with his own wife.

“When I said that people were trying to say I was the wrong one, today I decided to keep off the scene for a little and he is fighting everyone. And I tell you, sooner than later, he will start fighting his wife,” remarked Nyamita.

During the Migori tour that saw the leader worship together with different donominations in the county, including Manyera Catholic church, he highlighted on the issue of boycotted ODM party meeting by MPs, including ODM party chairman, Migori branch. Nyamita said that the function was not a party event, but rather an the Governor’s function to showcase his prowess in money matters. He accused the Governor of misappropriating public funds for the individual event wrapped as a Party function.

‘’The function that happened in Migori was not an ODM function. That was a function of the Governor with his supporters and a few people he is interested with. That’s why other leaders including the chairman did not come. The event there was someone trying to spend the enough money he has to the expense of our development to try and please his supporters. So that was not party event,” reiterated the lawmaker.

The ODM meeting was both attended by interim Party leader, Prof. Anyang Nyong’o and party chair Gladys Wanga, who prioritized on party membership ahead of party grassroot elections to be held on November 27, 2027.

The meeting was not attended by any Migori MP including Migori party chair and Awendo MP, Hon. Walter Owino.

Hon. Owino had, however, informed the Nyanza Review of his apologies to the party chair and claimed that other MPs were busy with parliamentary duties.
