Mathira Constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Eric Wamumbi has written a letter to the Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mohamed Amin to probe former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over allegations of faking abductions with an aim to tarnish the name of President William Ruto.
The MP went further unearthing that the former DP is holding abductees at Olive Hotel in Nairobi.
“I am writing to request for investigations in activities being carried out at Olive Gardens Hotel, Nairobi, with regards to the ongoing debate on abductions,” read the letter in part.
Wamumbi claimed that he believes that there have been a series of meeting at the said hotel where the heinous acts are being conducted, in a bid to incite the public, as parents of the abductees suffer in anxiety and fear about their children.
“As we sympathize with the parents who have raised concerns about the whereabouts of their children, I believe some people are carrying out meetings in the said facility to organize fake abductions which are meant to incite the public,” the letter continued.
While sharing the letter in his social media platforms, the parliamentarian went further calling out Rigathi Gachagua to release all the children he is holding captive and stop the abduction drama that has caused panic and havoc in the country.
“Release all the children you have been holding at Olive Gardens hotel and stop the drama. Those of us from your village we know you and drama. Wacha kutesa wazazi sababu ya siasa bwana,” asserted the lawmaker.
This comes shortly after four abductees who have been missing for the past one month were found alive at different places.
Billy Mwangi, Bernard Kavuli and Rony Kiplangat were released in the morning. Rony was found in Machakos County, and Bernard Kavuli, who was abducted in Ngong found in Kitale. Peter Muteti who was abducted on December 21, 2024 at his apartment outside Nairobi has also been found.
The whereabouts of cartoonist Kibet Bull and Steve Mbisi still remain unknown.
