Governor Ayacko Leads Migori Delegation in Meeting with Treasury CS to Push for Fast-Tracking of Key Projects

Migori County Governor Ochilo Ayacko, on Friday, February 14, led a delegation of leaders from the county to a meeting with Treasury CS John Mbadi.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Governor Ayacko said the meeting focused on expediting key national government projects in Migori County and prioritizing additional development initiatives for the region.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with the national government to ensure that Migori receives its fair share of resources and investment.

They also raised concerns about bureaucratic hurdles slowing down the implementation of ongoing projects and urged the Cabinet Secretary to expedite pending processes.

Among those present were Migori Senator Eddy Oketch, Uriri MP Mark Nyamita, Suna West MP Peter Masara, Kuria East MP Marwa Kitayama, Nyatike MP Tom Odege, Kuria West MP Mathias Robi, Awendo MP Walter Owino and Rongo MP Paul Abuor.

Speaking after the meeting, Governor Ayacko emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between the county and national governments to accelerate infrastructure development, improve service delivery and boost economic opportunities in Migori.

Treasury CS Mbadi assured the leaders of the national government’s commitment to addressing their concerns, pledging to streamline bureaucratic processes that have delayed project execution.

He also noted that Migori County remains a key beneficiary of ongoing national development programs.

The leaders agreed to maintain continuous engagement with the Treasury and other relevant ministries to ensure the timely completion of major projects that will benefit the people of Migori county.
