Reports allege that Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Moses Wetangula is next in line to face impeachment.
The Nyanza Review has since established that Starehe Member of Parliament, Hon. Amos Mwago, wrote a letter, dated 30th September to the National Assembly.
The National Assembly acknowledged receipt of the letter on the same date.
According to the letter, Wetangula is not independent as the Speaker, and lacks political decorum and he deficits constitutional astute.
The lawmaker alleges that Wetangula’s tenure has been calamitous and a sacrilege to the Constitution, and has made the National Assembly a rogue institution.
In light to this, the MP demands the Speaker resign, and if he does not do so, forced to resign by the people of Kenya.
“ Speaker Moses Wetangula can no longer be deemed an independent, credible and reputable beyond reproach Speaker. He lacks political decorum, denigrates National Assembly and deficits constitutional astuteness to remain Speaker. He must resign and or forced to resign by the people of Kenya, “ read the letter.

This exposure comes days after reports claimed that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) requested an increase in the number of representatives in the government, adding that they calmed the tension during Gen Z demonstrations.
The rumours alleged that ODM is targeting the posts of the Speaker of the National Assembly and Majority Leader.
It is claimed the party also played a great role in the most recent impeachment of Deputy President, Hon. Rigathi Gachagua.
A day ago, former Presidential candidate and Thirdway Alliance Party Leader, Hon. Ekuru Aukot, said that Wetangula will be replaced by an ODM party MP.
His claims came shortly after Nation reported that some people in the government are uneasy with Moses Wetangula due to his push for the Luhya community unity and consequently, want him out.
“Omwami Hon. Wetangula will be replaced by an ODM party MP. Mambo bado…Rigathi isn’t the only one on the chopping board. If William Ruto can go for his deputy who helped him become president, who else is safe apart from Hon. Oscar Sudi?” Wrote the leader.
Currently, the Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment case is underway at the High Court after the Senate resolved to impeach him.
