Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has assured Kenyans that everything is alright, while urging them to ignore speculations that have been spreading on social media platforms about his fallout with President William Ruto.

While attending a wedding ceremony of the son of the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Rebecca Miano in Tigoni in Kiambu County, Kindiki affirmed that the President gave him some few days off to relax his mind. He confirmed that he is only left with some hours to relax before going back to work for the people of Kenya.

He took the opportunity to make it clear that there is nothing suspicious going on between him and President William Ruto, following rumours that he had disputes with the head of state. He asked Kenyans to ignore the rumours, claiming that they should not focus on trivial matters.

“Ignore everything else, completely…don’t fall into trap of triviality and small things and small issues. We have a business,” stated the DP.

The DP further asked Kenyans to support the Kenya Kwanza Government while believing that this year, that has just started off, will be the year Kenya will make milestone achievements.

“I am glad the Excellency allowed me a few days off, I am energised… I believe this is the year that all of us we go rally, support the President and take Kenya to the next level,” he asserted.

The speculations about Kindiki’s fallout with Ruto was rumoured when he did not attend the State New Year’s Eve Dinner on December 31, 2024 in Kisii where the President attended. Some claimed that his ideas on abductions did not correspond with the head of state’s, as other speculated that he is being subordinated at the State House by the president’s hand men.
