Police have arrested a suspected robber while recovering a police gear, several rolls of bhang and a self made firearm that is capable of firing which was loaded with 4 rounds of ammunition.

The suspect identified as Barnabas Okello, 34 was ambushed by police officers at his house located at South Kanyaluo in Homabay county.

According to the police, they got wind of the suspect, allegedly merchandising bhang and spotted with something that looked like a gun, that propelled the police to do their investigations.

“Acting on a tip-off from concerned neighbours that one of their own was peddling Marijuana and had occasionally been spotted brandishing what appeared to be a gun, detectives from Rachuonyo North have nabbed the suspect,” reported the DCI.

The sleuths were backed up by their Kenya Police Service counterparts from Kendubay Police Station, where they also seized balaclava helmets and other camouflage clothing.
