Kenyans have filed a petition in court to challenge the mental health state of President William Ruto, following a series of lies and failed leadership.
In a viral clip circulating online on Tuesday, January 28, the petitioners have requested that Chief Justice Martha Koome to establish a bench to assess the president’s mental health status.
“He is mentally sick. Who knows a person who has lied 50 times forget 5,000? Ruto ako na 5,000. Huyo jamaa ni mgonjwa. Kila siku!” Petitioner stated.
According to them, Ruto lied about job opportunities in Germany, swimming lions, Kenyans were not abducted, among other promises cited by Ruto.
“There is Germany, swimming lions, parliament of baboons. Talk of people were not abducted, Kindiki told us there was gunshot that came from a police officer but we are not sure whether it was the cause of death,” They are not trying, they are telling blatant lies!” Another petitioner stated.
They also commented on the quick arrest of the Kware killings Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, who ra away from a heavily guarded police station, while Kimilili Lawmaker Didmus Barasa allegedly killed someone, but no accusations have been laid against him.
“They arrested the Kware guy in a record of 24-hours and he escaped. Didmus Barasa allegedly killed someone, it was all over including the news, but they don’t know his whereabouts, and follow up was done in his case,” they added.
Kenyans across social media expressed their opinions on the daring move of their fellow country men, on the head of the state, some terming it as a wild move, while Kodeko urged them to take the petition to Kiambu Law Courts.
“This is turning into wild, wild west, the Kenyan version,” P. Krazinski commented.
Another user cautioned Kenyans about the move, as there was a concern to introduce mental access test before.
“Kenyans need to be careful that nationwide mental fitness tests are not introduced soon. There has long been cause for concern,” he stated.
“Huyo jamaa hayuko sawa, ni mgonjwa,” another social media user stated.
On Monday, January 27, former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua threw a jab at the president for calling him corrupt, yet he is bundled with a couple of scandals. The two former friends have been throwing shades at each other ever since the development tour in Western.
