Former DP Rigathi Gachagua paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Martha Wangare Karua at her home in Kimunye village, Gichugu constituency in Kirinyaga County yesterday with an aim of working together.

Rigathi claimed that Karua’s dedication to public service and profound commitment to fight justice earned his respect, and that is what has propelled him to work together with her and leverage diverse persectives and experience in order to enact meaningful change despite them being political rivals in the past.

“Even as we were fighting with Martha Karua I was still admiring her leadership. I was wishing she was in our team, it would have been better. Now that we are together, we are going to form a formidable team with the rest of Kenyans, not just here in Mt Kenya.” Rigathi said

However, this did not quite go well with Kenyans, most who called Gachagua and Karua tribal warlords.

” Tribalists can meet as many times as possible but the reality is presidency won’t go to murima in the near future. If you didn’t make use of it as presidents for 35 years and 26 years as deputy presidents, woe unto you.” Henry commented

” Mt Kenyans can’t survive outside Government but this time, they will be forced to find a survival formulae.” Julius Okuto added

Some of the Government bloggers also joined in denouncing the union.

” Rigathi Gachagua is truly tribal. Another tribal warlord is Martha Karua. A coalition of the two will be a lethal tribal outfit that should not be allowed to morphe into a tangible one that can grab power, we must defend our gains.” Lord Abraham Mutai tweeted

Despite the outrageous controversial opinions facing Gachagua and Karua’s coalition, some Kenyans were in support of these two joining hands

“Rigathi’s visit to Martha Karua symbolizes monumental shift in Kenya’s political landscape. It underscores the shared responsibility to unite Kenyans, bridging divides and fostering a culture of national solidarity.” Sesyline KE said

” A very good move, we want them in one basket, it’s easier that way. They should also pick Kalonzo.” Oouko added

Gachagua also urged the youth especially the Gen Z to register as voters in order to help them send Ruto home come 2027.
