Trevor Ombija who is a well known media personality at Citizen Tv has introduced his wife to the public for the first time since 2021 when he faced breakup.
While speaking during a burial in Nyakach in Kisumu, Ombija proudly and hilariously introduced his wife to the congregation with amusing words.
“Ni kipenzi changu, bibi yangu ambaye nampenda kwa dhati. Kila siku nasimama naye kwa dhiki na faraja, kwa hali na mali without contradictions,” Trevor said as his wife waved to the public.
Trevor, some time back, had sought prayers from the public over his ‘relationship’ with Mashirima Kapombe who is his work mate at Citizen TV.
This was during the burial of Kapombe’s mother where Trevor Ombija lightened the mood about their relationship.
Trevor with humour, suggested he wouldn’t mind being related to Mashirima, but in different way, joking about his current wife and leaving room for more. His words amazed and excited the attendees as he revealed the close bond he shares with Mashirima.
“Mimi na Mashirima tuna uhusiano wa karibu sana. In 2019, yeye ndio mtu wa kwanza nilifanya naye kazi katika Monday Town Hall. Alikuwa mkarimu, hakunionyesha madharau wala ubabe. Nampenda sana,” said Ombija.
“Ni uhusiano wa kikazi. Lakini hata hiyo ingine ni sawa. Nawategemea mniombee… kwa sasa nina bibi mmoja, sasa nawategemea,” added Ombija whose light-hearted josh vividly and compatibly aligned with the audience.
In 2021, Ombija shared his experience of maneuvering a breakup, followed by a brief reunion, only to face heartbreak again.
“I am from a relationship that lasted 10 years. It is one of those relationships that are over, then they are back again,” narrated the journalist.
During the narration, he however declared that he was not interested in any relationship, for he was still healing from the ordeal, that made him take a dowry to her loved soul, only to be dismissed.
“I was badly heart broken, I am single, not looking. I need to fix myself first. Everybody deserves the best version of the other person. Don’t go into a relationship when you are broken. Right now I will admit it. I actually took dowry to her home on December 5,2015, then akaniacha. She said that she needs to find herself,” he shared.
