Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru, who defended former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment at both the Senate and the High Court has allegedly claimed that Raila Odinga might be sick and stuck in India.

The lawyer has raised eyebrows, following the former Prime Minister missing the swearing in of Prof. Kithure Kindiki as the third Deputy President of the Republic.

In a twisted manner, the lawyer asked former blogger and Kileleshwa MCA, Hon. Robert Alai to confirm the truth of the matter.

“Is it true that Mr. Raila Odinga is out of the country, and that he is actually in Adani’s land receiving treatment? @RobertAlai kindly confirm this.,” asked Njiru.

Njiru’s sentiments were backed up by an X user, Government Critic, who said that he had mama mboga yesterday claiming that Odinga, who is running for the African Union chairmanship role is critically ill and is receiving treatment in India.

“I had a mama mboga yesterday say that Raila Odinga is critically ill and is currently in India receiving high level treatment,” alleged Government Critic.

Odinga has not given any update on all his social media platforms since 22nd October this year when he toured Africa Hall in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

However, Robert Alai while responding to the claims, has stated that Odinga is doing fine. He affirmed that his brother, Siaya Senator,  Hon. Oburu Odinga is the one who is not in good health.

“Not true! Baba is very healthy. Senator Oburu is the one slightly under the weather. We don’t hide these things,” confirmed Alai.
