The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is still looking for a suspected serial killer, Collins Jumaisi Khalusha who disappeared from police custody two months ago.
Khalusha, 33, was arrested in July 2024 after he confessed to have murdered 42 women including his wife in Kware area in Nairobi.
On August, the suspect killer alongside 12 other inmates of Eritrean nationality escaped from Gigiri police station.
The DCI had initially sought help from Kenyans to assist them with any information that might have led to re-arrest of Collins. However, no such informations have been provided and the suspected murderer is still missing.
In light to this, the investigations body has once again appealed to the general public to provide information should they know whereabouts of Collins.
“If you have any information regarding Collins Jumaisi Khalusha’s whereabouts, we encourage you to share it confidentially through the anonymous #FichuaKwaDCI hotline at 0800722203 or reach out to the police through the hotlines 999, 911, and 112,” appealed DCI.
Anybody with this vital information may also be required to visit any nearest police station and update the detectives.
“Additionally, you are welcome to visit any police station within the country. Your support could greatly impact the re-arrest of this wanted suspect. Every piece of information is valuable,” added DCI.
Kenyans have, however, criticised the DCI for failing to re-arrest the suspect, some claiming the there is a foul play somewhere.
“Bwana, stop playing with our heads. You mean your partners and enablers of abductions @Safaricom_Care hasn’t given you the location of this fellow or this post is to gaslight us that you are looking for him?” wrote Anwar Sadat.
Fumo Liyongo Jr. said, ”In Movies ,they’ll let you escape and tell you to ran as fast as you can ,a sharp shooter is given the job to eliminate you . DCI is the new Hollywood.”
Logic Bomb, ” The resources used to find and abduct the likes of Gaitho and Morara should be used to find Jumaisi. You cannot have all the Tiguans and Subarus abducting bloggers alafu mnawacha wale polisi huomba pesa ya mafuta watafute Collins Jumaisi. Hamtawahi mpata.”
