As Orange Democratic Movement party is planning to conduct its grassroot elections slated for November 27, 2024, Suna East MP aspirant has demanded that ODM’s Director of Elections, Hon. Junet Mohamed should resign.
The MP hopeful, Eng. Victor Okuna wants Junet Mohamed who also doubles as Suna East Constituency MP out of the way, citing need for fresh blood in the ODM elections’ system.
He added that a new strategy with fresh ideas and new inputs is required in the system, claiming that Junet Mohamed has stayed for long as ODM Director of Elections.
“We demand for resignation of Hon Junet Mohamed as ODM director of Elections. Fresh ideas, new input and re-strategy requires fresh blood,” said Eng. Victor Okuna.
Junet Mohamed was appointed the Director of Elections in the ODM party in 2014 and is still holding the office. He also serves as the Minority Whip in the National Assembly as well as Secretary General in the embattled Azimio Coalition party.
Eng. Okuna is eyeing the Suna East Constituency seat and has ever been slamming the incumbent MP Junet Mohamed, rubbishing his development, which he claims is lagging behind.
Two days ago, after an ODM meeting in Homabay, Eng. Okuna affirmed that he is gaining ground in uprooting Junet in the Suna East seat. He alleged that he is supported by Homabay Governor, Hon. Gladys Wanga and her Kisumu counterpart Hon. Anyang Nyong’o.
