Kibwezi West MP, Hon. Mwengi Mutuse has revealed that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is the man behind the ongoing abductions in the country.
While speaking to the press, the lawmaker said that he has credible information that connects Gachagua to the outrageous act, that has caused massive outcry in the country leading to today’s demonstrations in Nairobi and some few parts of the country. He, however, claimed that the former DP is being helped by his allies to conduct the unscrupulous activity. The leader went further outlining that Gachagua’s aim is to tarnish President William Ruto’s administration.
“I have received credible information regarding Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, suggesting that he, through some of his close political associates, may be collaborating with sympathetic individuals within the government and former officials to orchestrate activities designed to incite public unrest and create dissent against the current administration. Alarmingly, these activities reportedly include involvement in recent abductions,” revealed Mutuse.
The lawmaker called forth the former DP to clear the air in his involvement in the heinous act, while urging the police to act swiftly in ensuring justice prevails and if Gachagua is behind the vice, he should be charged accordingly.
“I challenge the former Deputy President to clarify his role in these allegations. If he is indeed complicit, the police must act decisively to ensure that he and his associates face justice. No one is above the law,” claimed the MP.
Mutuse said that Gachagua also used that motive to drive his political agenda, after he was impeached and aspires to revert his political power.
“It is both morally wrong and utterly irresponsible for any leader to exploit the lives of innocent citizens to further political agenda,” the lawmaker added.
The country is experiencing up surging cases of abductions, which has catapulted Kenyans to go to the streets to demand for their rights, and end abductions.
For more than 5 days, Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti and Bernard Kavuli have not been found, with police confirming that they are not responsible for such abductions, thus, fueling fear and anxiety amongst Kenyans
