Siaya: 28 Year – old Woman stabs Boyfriend to Death over Cheating Allegations

Police in Siaya are investigating an incident where a 28-year-old is accused of stabbing to death her 35 year – old boyfriend in Ng’iya, Siaya county.

The suspect, Vivian Akoth is reported to have stabbed her boyfriend Charlton Obare over claims of indefinitely, police have said.

Mur-Ng’iya sub-location assistant chief Grace Otieno reported that the deceased returned home at around 9:00 PM on Saturday alongside one of his friends before Vivian followed him inside.

His friend who has been identified as Reagan confirmed to the police that as he was leaving the two partners, he heard some commotion and after a short while, he saw Vivian run past him in the dark.

According to Reagan, Charlton who was heavily bleeding after being stabbed in the chest attempted to pursue Vivian before collapsing pursued Vivian

The suspect is reported to have asked Regean to help her take her bleeding boyfriend to the nearest hospital.

On arrival at the hospital however, Charlton was pronounced dead due to severe bleeding.

Vivian, who is a mother of one, ran to hideouts but later surrendered to Siaya Police Station. She is now in custody as police launch investigations on the tragic event before appearing before the court.

The body was transferred to Siaya county mortuary awaiting postmortem.
