Saboti Constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Caleb Amisi has slammed Wiper Party leader Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka and his team in their urge to uproot President William Ruto and become the president.
While speaking in Vihiga county, attending the burial of Eliud Josia Marende who was the father of former Speaker of the National Assembly Kenneth Marende, the MP said that Kalonzo and his team have no power to remove Ruto from his presidential seat.
He slammed Kalonzo saying that the people that backs his dream are just people with no potency.
Amisi laughed at his ally, former Kiambu Governor, Hon. Ferdinand Waititu whom he said has nothing to offer in light of giving Kalonzo Mt. Kenya region votes.
He was quoted, “Huyu mtu anaitwa Waititu ata kama mlima imeteremka, Waititu ndo atapeleka Kalonzo kwa murima. Who is Waititu? This is loosely translated to; This person called Waititu even if the mountain is slant will he take Kalonzo there? Who is Waititu?
The lawmaker however agreed that people disapprove of Ruto’s leadership but having him out of the office is not easy as Kalonzo thinks.
He said, “Ni ukweli watu hawapendi Ruto, lakini hao watu wanatembea hapa wakiongozwa na Kalonzo wanaweza toa Ruto kwa kiti? Let’s be serious. Ati hawa, hawa, aaa aaaaah!” (It’s true many dislike Ruto but can these people led by Kalonzo remove Ruto from his seat? Let’s be serious).
During the ceremony, the parliamentarian used the opportunity to urge leaders to maintain unity and focus on fulfilling the responsibilities they were elected to carry out and ensure that they work together for the betterment of Kenyans.
Kalonzo among other leaders including DAP-Kenya party leader Hon. Eugene Wamalwa are expected to form a political outfit ahead of the 2027 general elections. They claimed that ODM has joined the government.
They have self – proclaimed themselves as the opposition.
Tomorrow, as reported, Kalonzo and Wamalwa will move to court to stop the Adani takeover of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
