President William Samoei Ruto is expected to land in Kisumu tomorrow to officially open the 4th AfSNET Conference, which started today at the Grand Royal Swiss Hotel.
Announcing the visit of the President to the conference, Kisumu Governor, Prof. Anyang Nyong’o said that this is an opportunity to showcase to the world why Kisumu stays ahead of the rest as an investment destination in Africa.
“Kisumu proudly welcomes H.E. President William Samoei Ruto to the 4th African Sub-Sovereign Network Conference (AFSNET). Join us to explore why Kisumu stands out as a premier investment destination in Africa,” announced the Governor.
As an opportunity to put Kisumu on a global map, the Governor invited attendees to the occasion with a great assurance of security.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity for Kisumu to shine on the global map, showcasing its investment potential and positioning itself as a hub for trade and sustainable development,” said Governor Nyong’o.
The summit which is expected to last until November 27, 2024, is poised to drive impactful conversations about advancing regional trade and creating opportunities for economic growth.
The conference organised by Afreximbank and the County Government of Kisumu, is anticipated to be attended by a great number of people, including leaders and investors from across the continent
The Governor said that there is much more to expect from the summit apart from insights in strategy developments, lead generation, research et cetera.
“The in-person investment training session offers a comprehensive deep dive into critical aspects of investment promotion. It covers core investment facilitation activities, including strategy development, analytical tools, best practices, research, lead generation, investor forums, aftercare, retention techniques, and much more,” he noted.
