POCO Unveils Exciting New Smartphones as it Relaunches in Kenya

Chinese smartphone company POCO has made a triumphant return to the Kenyan market with  unveiling of two new smartphones that promise to reshape the mid-range segment: the feature-rich POCO C75 and the high-performance POCO M6 Pro. The company, according to a press release dated 2nd November 2024, aims to bring innovation, affordability, and powerful specifications to local consumers.

The POCO M6 Pro stands out with its impressive 6.67-inch Flow AMOLED display, boasting a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate for smooth visuals, whether gaming or streaming. Powering the device is the advanced Helio G99-Ultra chipset, complemented by up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, ensuring seamless multitasking and top-tier performance.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the M6 Pro’s 64MP triple camera setup, which features Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for clear, stable shots. A robust battery of 5000mAh with 67W turbo charging promises quick power-ups, reaching full charge in just 44 minutes.

The POCO C75, in contrast, focuses on everyday entertainment with its 6.88-inch display and a sleek, modern design inspired by nature. It features a 50MP AI dual camera system and a front camera equipped with Night Mode for capturing quality selfies in any setting. The device is powered by an octa-core processor and offers up to 16GB of RAM, making it adept for daily tasks.

The C75’s 5160mAh battery supports all-day use with 18W fast charging, ensuring users stay connected without prolonged waiting times.

Both devices are designed with user experience in mind, incorporating features like a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick access and enhanced audio capabilities.

The POCO C75 is available now in Black, Gold, and Green, with pricing starting at KES 13,799 for the 4GB + 128GB variant, exclusively on Jumia Kenya. The POCO M6 Pro will be available for pre-order later this month, with further pricing details to follow.
