The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leaders have called for unity and careful political maneuvering as they position themselves for the 2027 elections.
Speaking at a Legio Maria Church headquarters in Kweru Suna West, Migori County, Homabay Governor and national chairperson Gladys Wanga, emphasized the ongoing efforts of ODM leaders in advocating for Kenya’s well-being, despite facing criticisms.
“Most of the ODM party elected leaders have found themselves in very tough situations, when fighting for Kenyans, while some leaders who are not criticizing them remain in their comfort zones,” she said.
Wanga expressed confidence that the outfit aims to form the next government in 2027. Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi, who also attended the prayer service, mentioned the importance of aligning with President William Ruto’s administration, and described him as an honest person.
Meanwhile, Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko, urged patience with local leadership amid financial constraints. This strategic realignment signals ODM’s intent to consolidate their influence and potentially shape Kenya’s political landscape in the coming years.
