National super League side Luanda Villa’s head coach Gilbert Selebwa who resigned from his role not more than 24 hours ago after leading the Vihiga based club to a 2-0 win against Fortune Sacco on Saturday December 21, 2024, has been appointed.
The former AFC Leopards manager is set to take over Harvest of Hope Hope Africa (Hoha) FC of FKF Division 1, Zone B having been unveiled earlier today. The Busia based club Hoha announced Selebwa’s appointment in a move to take from their outgoing coach, Oboth Mugerman, who parted ways with the club.
“We have officially appointed Gilbert Selebwa as the new Hoha FC Head Coach. Selebwa has come in to succeed Oboth Mugerman who we parted ways with last week,” wrote the club.
The Luanda Villa immediate former coach coach signed his contract on Monday at the club’s Regional office, Matayos in the presence of the club’s Patron Fredrick Munuku, Operations Director Jacquesh Papai and the club’s CEO Joseph Onyango.
The club during the appointment wished Selebwa all the best as he takes over to improve on the club’s standings.
“We wish Selebwa the best in this new role and trust that he will steer our team to great heights.” Hoha FC announced.
Before his departure, Selebwa had guided Luanda Villa to 6 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses amassing a total of 22 points.
The immediate former Luanda villa Head of Communication Desmond Adeya will also join Coach Selebwa at Hoha FC following his resignation. However, he did not disclose much of his designation
Hoha sits at position 12 at the FKF Division 1, Zone B, having played 12 games with 13 points.
