Wiper Party leader, Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka has tarnished President William Ruto’s address during the 61st Jamhuri Day celebrations, held at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi.

Kalonzo claimed that the address instead of being a reflective and solemn, was a self congratulatory address with misinformation to the public.

“It is highly regrettable that instead of the solemn and reflective national address it is supposed to be, the 61st Jamhuri Day Message today was a Self-Congratulatory Ode of Pipe Dreams and Misinformation by President @WilliamsRuto,” said Kalonzo.

The leader further unearthed that Ruto spread fake information, in a move to mislead Kenyans on the progress of Kenya Kwanza administration.

“It was rich in fake facts designed by a Predatory Kenya Kwanza regime to mislead Kenyans,” he said, adding, ‘That is not the vision of our fore bearers, who sacrificed to free us from the punishing and dehumanising yoke of colonialism.”

He deemed the President’s Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) an illusion, which does not reflect on its purpose.

“Ruto’s illusionary BETA, whichever way you look at it, is founded on the opposite, that: Freedom is gifted by KK if you tow their line; ‘Peace’ is nominally gifted should you become their mouthpiece; and that economic prosperity is a track line limited to their immediate circus,” asserted Kalonzo.

In this regard, the Wiper boss and the self proclaimed People’s Loyal Opposition leader, urged Kenyans to free themselves from the yoke of Kenya Kwanza leadership that he claimed is built on lies, disinformation and misinformation.

“We must free ourselves from the self-serving shackles of this KK regime that thrives on lies, disinformation and misinformation.”

Kalonzo while celebrating today’s Jamhuri Day, paid respect to Kenya’s forefathers for their dedication in securing the country’s freedom. He also attributed the country’s liberation to the Gen Zs and the Millennials whose contributions were seen during this year’s protests that happened between April and July, 2024.

“Today, we commemorate our forefathers’ 61-year struggle for liberation from the yokes of colonialism. We honour their sacrifices and reiterate our commitment to realizing their vision for Kenya. We also pay tribute to Kenya’s Generation Z and Millennials, who paid the ultimate sacrifice to ensure ‘that freedom is indivisible, that peace is indivisible, that economic prosperity is indivisible.”
