Busia Governor Paul Otuoma Saturday hosted ODM Deputy Party Leader Senator Godfrey Osotsi at a Busia resort, where Osotsi chaired the Busia County ODM Delegates Meeting. The gathering comes as the party gears up to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Osotsi emphasized that the meeting aimed to strengthen ODM’s influence in Busia County and the broader Western region.
“We are committed to ensuring that the Orange Democratic Movement remains a dominant political force,” he stated.
Delegates engaged in extensive discussions on grassroots mobilization, enhancing party structures, and reinforcing political influence in the region.
Governor Otuoma highlighted the importance of unity and strategic planning, stressing that these elements are crucial as the party marks two decades of political presence.
“As we approach ODM’s 20th anniversary, we must consolidate our efforts and strategize to keep shaping Kenya’s future. Our journey has been guided by strong values, and we must remain steadfast in upholding them,” Otuoma said.
The meeting brought together key leaders, including Busia County Assembly Speaker Fredrick Odilo and Majority Leader Josephat Wandera, alongside other ODM delegates.
The forum reaffirmed ODM’s commitment to transformative leadership, party unity, and strategic planning ahead of the 2027 general elections, ensuring its continued role as a pillar of democracy and development in the region.
