In a heartfelt and intimate ceremony, renowned gospel personalities Samuel Muraya, popularly known as DJ Moh, and his wife, singer and pastor Linet Munyali, alias Size 8, have reaffirmed their commitment to each other by renewing their wedding vows. The exclusive event took place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the picturesque JS Meadows in Sigona, located along Kikuyu Nderi Road.
The couple, who have been prominent figures in Kenya’s entertainment industry, orchestrated a black-themed ceremony attended by close family members, friends, and select luminaries from the entertainment sector. The event was meticulously planned to ensure privacy, with invitations extended only to a tight-knit circle, and no media presence allowed. Master of ceremonies duties were handled by the esteemed MC Xtian Kenya, adding a touch of flair to the occasion.
This vow renewal comes on the heels of a public separation in 2024, which had left fans speculating about the couple’s relationship status. In an exclusive interview in December 2024, DJ Mo addressed the swirling divorce rumors with a cryptic yet hopeful message:
“About divorce, you should check our social media to know where we are. My wife can tell you if she filed. I cannot speak on something she said herself. But I am very happy, and I am focusing on parenting. My children are thriving and staying away from scandals or issues,” DJ Moh explained.
When pressed further about their separation, DJ Mo emphasized their enduring friendship and co-parenting efforts.
“No, we are not [separated]. We are just prioritizing taking care of our kids together. My marriage didn’t end. We are still good friends. I cannot confirm that we have separated, but we also don’t judge each other on many things,” he said.
The couple’s journey has been a testament to resilience and mutual respect. Their reality show, Dine with the Murayas, which aired on NTV, offered fans a candid glimpse into their marital challenges and triumphs. Through open discussions on topics ranging from family planning to business ventures, they endeavored to provide guidance and mentorship to other couples navigating similar paths.
Size 8, born on August 4, 1987, in Nairobi, has had a dynamic career trajectory. Initially gaining fame with mainstream hits like Shamba Boy and Moto, she experienced a spiritual transformation in 2013, leading her to transition into gospel music with the release of her debut gospel single, Mateke.
Her evolution from secular to gospel music underscored her deepening faith and commitment to her spiritual journey.
The couple’s decision to renew their vows in such a private setting underscores their desire to focus on their personal journey, away from the public eye. By inviting only those closest to them, DJ Mo and Size 8 have reaffirmed their dedication not only to each other but also to the sanctity of their union.
As they embark on this renewed chapter, their story continues to inspire many, highlighting the power of love, forgiveness, and unwavering commitment.
