Congolese Artist Koffi Olomide Expected to Perform alongside Prince Indah in Kisumu

Rhumba lovers can anticipate an electric show as the Congolese legend Koffi Olomidé takes the stage at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu on December 14th 2024.

Koffi Olomidé, whose real name is Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba, is a renowned Congolese soukous singer, songwriter, producer, and dancer. He is well-known for his vibrant performances and as the founder of the band Quartier Latin International.

His work has not only earned him fame but also established him as an iconic figure in the world of rhumba music.

Despite some controversies and past deportations, Koffi Olomidé has made multiple appearances in Kenya, showing his continued popularity and influence in the region’s music scene. His last performance was on November 3rd, 2023, at the Kasarani Indoors concert.

According to a poster as seen by the Nyanza Review as posted by TV 47, the concert, dubbed Mzuqa Fest, will kick off at 2 p.m. and will also feature performances from the Zaiko Langa Langa Band and top Luo artists, including Prince Indah, Apesi, and Madanji Perimeter.
