Migori Women Representative Fatuma Mohammed has claimed that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is not a Kenyan and should be expelled from the country for not being a patriotic citizen following his allies slamming Raila Odinga for failure to clinch the African Union Commission chairmanship seat on Saturday last week.

While speaking during a parliamentary session earlier today, Fatuma said that a number of Kenyans sacrificed their all to support Odinga with their own money, repudiating the allegations that Kshs 13 billion of taxpayers’ money was used during Odinga’s AUC bid.

“There are Kenyans who took loans, there are Kenyans who sold their cows, and Mr. Speaker, there are Kenyans who took a bus and stayed on the road for four days to be in Addis Ababa, regardless of their tribe, regardless of their party and age,” said the lawmaker.

The parliamentarian affirmed that Rigathi Gachagua will not get any vote from Kenyans, while claiming that his actions and those of his allies do not portray patriotism, adding that he should be expelled from Kenya.

“And so those Kenyans and those media houses, please when you speak, remember we are all Kenyans and we want to tell the Wamunyoros who are all dancing, shame on you. I swear we are waiting for you, we will embarrass you. Not even one vote you will get in this country.  Shame on you. You are not even a Kenyan. You should even be expelled from this country. Shame on you Wamunyoro,” claimed Fatuma.

During the session, ODM leaders lamented over lack of patriotism by Kenyans who could not support their own during the contest by rallying against him on social media. Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and his Suba North counterpart Millie Odhiambo were surprised by this act, while lecturing Kenyans who are celebrating Odinga’s loss.

This comes amid allegations by Juja MP George Koimburi who claimed that Kshs 13 billions were spent to aid Odinga’s AUC campaign.

Koimburi, during a church service on Sunday last week, alleged that President Ruto bribed some heads of state to support Odinga’s AUC bid, something that led to his arrest.

Odinga lost the highly contested AUC seat after withdrawing during the seventh round, giving the Djibouti’s Mahamoud Youssouf a chance to attain the two thirds threshold during the election that was held in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
