DCI detectives have arrested a 29-year-old man who was intercepted by police on patrol for an alleged murder case at Kelly Towers in Huruma, Nairobi.
According to the police, the suspect was carrying a suspicious bag, which on examination was found to contain a human body parts belonging to a young woman, whom the suspect identified as his wife
John Kiama Wambua acknowledged that he murdered his 19-year-old wife, Joy Munani after he was interrogated by the sleuths.
“With reasons to believe that Wambua could be ferrying or trafficking something illegal, the officers conducted a search, and to their shock discovered part of a mutilated human body. On quick interrogation, the suspect alleged that the same belonged to his wife Joy Fridah Munani, 19,” confirmed DCI.
The suspect led the police to his house where the other body parts were recovered under his bed. The floor was also stained with a pool of blood , where a sharp knife believed to be used during the heinous act was also discovered. The police also found the suspect’s clothes soaked in blood as other body parts were found missing.
“Wambua who appeared unperturbed by the discovery led the officers to his house where the other body parts were recovered under his bed,” said the DCI.
The police have commenced investigations to ascertain the reason behind this act as the suspect has been booked for arraignment.
“Meanwhile, Wambua has been processed for arraignment to answer to the charge of murder as detectives embark on a mission to recover the rest of the body parts and establish the motivation behind the indespicable act,” DCI confirmed.
