Eng. Victor Okuna, Suna East MP wanabee, has criticized the current leadership in the constituency for neglecting and undermining development.
Taking to his social media platforms, the leader, who once attempted vying for the Senate position in Migori County, said that important amenities such as roads, water and school buildings have been compromised.
Comparing Suna East to her neighbouring ones, Eng. Okuna asserted that it will take a long time for the constituency to match the others.

“It will take about 8 years of serious development for Suna East to near her neighbouring constituencies,” he wrote.
Expressing his rage against the current administration, Okuna gave an example of Anga’nga Primary School that has pathetic infrastructure.
He added that the residents, who are the voters are lured by rice after every five years, at the expense of development.
“Schools like Ang’anga have absolutely nothing from classrooms, roads, water etc. It’s like our kids are learning in 19 th century structures called classrooms, while the residents are being fed rice after 5 years,” he asserted.
In response to this arrested development in the area, Eng. Okuna has promised that everything is going to be done in order to displace the current leadership that he alleges has failed to deliver.
“We are going to do everything it takes to uproot the current leadership. CDF belongs to the future kids of Suna East residents.”
While meeting with boda boda riders on Wednesday in Migori town, Mr. Okuna promised that 60 per cent of Suna East CDF dealings will be done by Suna East Boda Boda Association and their expertise will be fully implemented.
“Suna East Boda Boda association. 60% of Suna East CDF construction will be done by the association which is made up of youths and women. Except for projects that requires expertise, 80% of CDF can be done by local youths and women.
Eng. Okuna is aspiring to unseat the current Suna East MP, Hon. Junet Mohamed who is reportedly losing ground in the area. Junet is in his third term as the Suna East National Assembly representative.
Eng. Okuna is an electrical and solar engineer at Greenex Solar and Borehole Company.
