Top East African Music Artists Set to Perform in Nairobi on December 7

Top East Africa music artists are set to perfom on a pivotal event which will be held at the famous polo club at Nairobi City kenya on December 7.

According to notices going around social media, famous event organizer, Chris Kirwa announced that fans can start booking their tickets for the big coming event.

“Nairobi Listen up. Zuchu will be Live in Concert in Nairobi courtesy of Furahi City on 7th December 2024 Polo Club Grounds. Diarize and book your Tickets,” he wrote.

Mr. Kirwa confirmed that the event will also be braced by Willy Paul, Khaligraph Jones, Mejja, Rayvanny, Ssaru among other top celebrities in the industry.

The Nairobi Polo Club is a historic and prestigious club in Kenya, located near Jamhuri Park in Nairobi. Established over a century ago, it is a hub for equestrian enthusiasts and a prominent location for polo tournaments and social events.

The club hosts regular polo matches, including seasonal tournaments that attract both local and international players. Beyond polo, it’s known for its beautiful grounds and scenic atmosphere, making it a popular venue for gatherings and events.

Khaligraph Jones, who is also known as the OG, is a prominent Kenyan rapper known for his powerful lyrics, versatile flow, and impactful presence in African hip-hop. He rose to fame with hits like Mazishi, Yego, and Now You Know, which showcase his storytelling and lyrical prowess.

Khaligraph’s music often addresses social issues, personal struggles, and the resilience of the Kenyan spirit, solidifying his place as one of Africa’s leading hip-hop artists.

Willy Paul a Kenyan singer and songwriter known for his transition from gospel to secular music. He gained early fame with gospel hits like Sitolia and You Never Know, showcasing his emotional vocal style and storytelling.

Over time, he shifted to a more diverse sound with songs like Jigi Jigi and Kamati Ya Roho Chafu, blending Afro-pop, dancehall, and gengetone influences. Willy Paul is known for his versatility and bold personality, making him a prominent and sometimes controversial figure in Kenya’s music industry.

Rayvanny,  is a Tanzanian musician, singer, and songwriter known for his contributions to the Bongo Flava genre, which blends hip-hop, RnB, and local Tanzanian styles, he rose to fame with his hit single “Kwetu” and has collaborated with numerous artists, both locally and internationally.

Rayvanny is also known for his distinctive vocal style and has received several awards for his music, solidifying his place in the East African music scene. 

Mejja also alias Okonkwo is known for his lyrics which often highlight the nuances of Kenyan life, from relationships and heartbreak to humor in everyday struggles.

Songs like Utawezana (a collaboration with Femi One) and Tabia Za Wakenya tap into common experiences with relatable humor, making his work widely accessible.

Ssaru, is a Kenyan singer and rapper known for her unique style that blends elements of hip-hop, Afrobeat, and Benga music. She gained popularity through her catchy songs and engaging lyrics, often reflecting themes relevant to Kenyan youth and urban life.

Ssaru has collaborated with various artists and has been recognized for her distinct voice and energetic performances.

She emerged in the vibrant Kenyan music scene around the late 2010s and has quickly made a name for herself, appealing to a diverse audience.

Femi One, whose real is Kimani Wanjiku is known for her contributions to the Kenyan music scene as a rapper and singer. She gained popularity through her unique blend of hip-hop, Afrobeat, and contemporary sounds, which resonate with a youthful audience.

Her rise to fame began with her hit singles, such as “Utawezana,” featuring Mejja, which became a viral sensation and garnered significant radio play and online views. The song’s catchy hook and relatable themes contributed to its widespread appeal.

Femi One is also recognized for her distinctive style, incorporating both fashion and cultural elements in her music videos and performances.

In addition to her solo work, Femi One has collaborated with several prominent Kenyan artists, which has helped expand her reach within the industry. Her social media presence, characterised by her engaging personality and strong connection with fans, has also played a crucial role in building her brand and popularity.

As a result, Femi One has emerged as a leading figure in the Kenyan hip-hop scene, celebrated for her talent and ability to address contemporary issues through her music.

Zuchu is well known for her  hit singles like Sukari and Kwikwi, which showcase her vibrant blend of bongo flava, taarab, and Afro-pop.
