Sigh of Relief to Alara Primary School as Suna East MP Aspirant Okuna Victor Secures Funding

Suna East MP hopeful, Engineer Okuna Victor has announced that he has secured two sponsors to help in equipping and solarising a water project in Alara Primary school, God Jope ward in Suna East Constituency.

While breaking the good news, Eng. Okuna said that this will ensure that the school and the community have access to clean and safe water. The MP aspirant had earlier promised the school that he must underscore the project.

“ I did promised to equip and solarise Alara Water Project to assist the community and the school. I’m glad to inform the public that 2 organisations Al Khair and Davis & Shirtliff approved my request for partnership to have the school and community have access to clean and safe water,” announced Okuna.

In an email sent to the leader, Davis and Shirtliff accepted to partially fund the project, that will see the school and the community have water at their disposal.

“ I am pleased to advise you that the D & S DSR Committee met recently and voted to approve your application dated 21/08/2024 for partial funding. The purpose of this project is to partially fund the donation and installation of a solar powered well pump,” read the email.

The leader, who is a water and solar engineer at Greenex Company also confirmed that Al Khair Foundation will tour the area to assess the project, after it had approved his request to develop the said project.

“This weekend Saturday 9 am, Al Khair Foundation will be visiting Alara Community to carry out need assessment of the project,” asserted Okuna.

Eng. Okuna also promised that he will use the opportunity to ask Davis and Shirtliff company to help in equipping a shallow well in Kakrao. He went further requesting the residents of the aforementioned ward to highlight a well suitable for the above development.

“ I’ll request the Davis & Shirtliff to equip and solarise a shallow well in Kakrao. If you know any well around Kakrao with a good amount of water that can serve a community and school, kindly inbox me with the pin location,” asked the leader.

He went further promising that he will do anything within his reach to ensure Suna East Constituency doesn’t lag behind in terms of development.

‘’We will strive to see each and every school in Suna East have access to clean and safe water,” stated Okuna.

Okuna is eyeing the Suna East Constituency seat, that is currently held by Junet Mohamed in his third term.
