Principal Secretary in the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, Dr. Raymond Omollo today met with all students he sponsors in different learning institutions at his home in Kanyipur in Karachuonyo Constituency, Homabay County.
The PS during the meeting assured his commitment to continue bolstering education, which is a key element in the country. He reviewed the students’ academic progress while engaging them in more discourse with an aim to strategize their educational development.
“The session provided an opportunity to review their end-of-year academic performance and engage in discussions on strategies for their continued success,” highlighted Dr. Omollo.
He also focused on fostering their academic excellence, challenges they face while charting a clear path forward to ensure each student thrives in their educational journey.
Omollo heightened that education is imperative, and should be prioritized. He has been sponsoring students for the past seven years, and the meeting was a great honour to meet the students with their parents.
“Education remains the greatest equalizer. It’s a privilege to join the beneficiaries and parents of the numerous children we’ve supported over the past seven years,” noted the PS.
The mentorship and encouragement attracted KMTC CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch, Prof. Rosowo of Technical University of Kenya, Prof. Omollo Ngati, CPA Wycliffe Omondi, Prof. George Krodah, Dr. Andrew Young Apuko, CPA Evance Oyieyo among other mentors, who provided invaluable insights in guiding the young generation.
Dr. Omollo during the mentorship was humbled to have driven change and impact lives of Kenyans.
“As the chairman of the professionals’ caucus, I am proud of the positive impact we continue to make in our own meaningful ways,” he admitted.
