President William Ruto has effected additional appointments in the senior ranks of the Executive, in a move to augment the complement of supporting him and the Government in fulfilling the mandate vested in the office.
In a statement by the Principal Administrative Secretary, Mr. Arthur Osiya, the President has nominated Gerald Nyaoma Arita the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya while Prof. Adams Oloo as the Advisor of Strategy and Communication in the President’s Council Economic Advisors.
On the list is Dr. Silvester Okumu Kasuku who has been nominated as the Advisor of Governance, while retired Maj. Ali Mahat Somane takes the position as the Advisor, Security Affairs in the Office of the National Security Advisor.
The President has also appointed Joe Owaka Ager as the Secretary of Governance as Noor Yaror Gabow chips in as Consulate in Republic of Haiti.
Former Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria has been appointed as the Chairperson of Public Procurement Regulatory Board whereas former presidential candidate Peter Kenneth was named the Chairperson of Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).
Additionally, in East African Portland Cement Company (EAPCC), Mr. Bruno Oguda Obodha has been nominated as the Managing Director as Douglas Murei Kaibos takes the role as the CEO of Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency.
While making the announcements, Mr. Osiya highlighted that the nomination has been effected in regards to advice and referral from the Public Service Commission.
“These appointments have been made based on the recommendations of the Public Service Commission and in line with the laws governing each public office, as applicable,” noted Osiya.
