The nullification of October 22, 2022, makes the Azimio La Umoja the majority in parliament. However, Wetang’ula in his ruling on Tuesday, February 11, said the High Court cannot declare the majority in Parliament.
He announced that Kenya Kwanza Alliance remains the majority, while Azimio La Umoja remains the minority side of Parliament. His ruling did not seat well with members from the Azimio La Umoja, as they stormed out of Parliament, pledging a contest for their rightful position.

“Majority leaders in parliament. It’s Baba that lost at the AU. But it’s Wetang’ula that will cry,” Juma CJ stated.
Bernard Karanja commented on Kuria’s post, that any shakable movement in the politics of the country must come from the Mt. Kenya Region.
“Trouble must always come from the mountain,” Karanja commented.
Gibby Mwangi had a contrary opinion, on the thoughts of former Cabinet Secretary in the ministry of investment.
“A leader who refuses to accept criticism or seeks comfort in past achievements isn’t leading—they’re just maintaining. Complacency disguised as stability is a silent killer of progress. The moment a leader assumes the hardest part is over is the moment growth stops. Success isn’t about reaching a comfortable level and coasting; it’s about constantly pushing forward, adapting, and evolving. Anything less is just settling,” he stated.
