Regions around Lake Victoria Basin and parts of the Highlands in the Rift Valley will experience sunny intervals during the day but are likely to also experience morning rains and afternoon showers.

Met Director General Dr David Gikungu has said that other regions including Rift Valley, Central Kenya (including Nairobi), Coast, South-Eastern Lowlands and parts of the North will also experience rainfall this week.

However, other regions will experience sunny, dry and hot weather conditions.

For the North Rift Valley (Uasin-Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Baringo and West-Pokot Counties), days will be sunny with scattered clouds with partial cloudy nights.

Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita-Taveta Counties, the days are expected to experience light showers with sunny intervals. The nights are expected to be partly cloudy.

In the coast region, hot temperatures will prevail during the day while nights will be partly cloudy. However, a few regions may experience morning, afternoon and night showers, the Met department has said.
