Kisumu Central residents have a reason to smile after receiving a Christmas surprise gift from the area MP, Dr. Joshua Oron, on December 19, 2024.
While receiving the gifts, the residents expressed their gratitude to the MP for such unexpected gifts, that will now help them celebrate the festive with their families.
Mercy Achieng, a resident of Nyalenda B Ward, was grateful to have received her gift. She confirmed that she had no plans on how to celebrate the festive, since she had no money.
“I say a big thank you to Dr Oron for standing with the residents of Kisumu Central and giving us a Christmas gift. I was so stranded and stressed how I will spend and celebrate with my kids, thank you soo much Dr Oron,” she said.
John Odiyo from Railway Ward in Kisumu Central, described Dr. Oron as a caring leader who ensures that all his constituents are happy during the festive season.
“Dr Oron is the only caring Mp who ensures that all his constituents are happy during this festive season we say thank you Mweshimiwa,” he said.
Dr. Oron mentioned that his main aim is to support his constituents during this festive season and ensure that they are happy and can celebrate with dignity.
“As the area Mp I wanted to ensure that my people are happy and have something to put on table during this festive season I wanted them to celebrate with dignity,” he said.
He later assured the residents that he would always deliver on his campaign manifesto and promised to continue working for them. The MP assured that he will remain loyal to his people and care for them.
“I want to assure you that I will always fulfil my promises and I will tirelessly work to deliver to the people of Kisumu Central as I have been doing,” he mentioned.
The lawmaker was also acknowledged by Mary Nekesa, Chairlady of Maendeleo ya Wanawake, who appreciated the leader for his commitment. While recommending Oron, Mary, revealed that, as a result of the leader’s hardwork, Juakali area in Kisumu will be getting a hospital next year.
“Thank you so much Mweshimiwa for Ajab and salad and thank you for the good work you have been doing. I saw it was gazetted that come next year we will be having an hospital in Juakali courtesy of Dr Oron thank you,” she said.
