Suna East MP aspirant Hon. Bruno Otieno Liende has fulfilled his promise to take the embattled student, Brighton Otieno Ouma to school, after Ramogi TV aired out his plight a month ago.

While breaking the good news of Brighton at Moi University in Eldoret earlier today, Hon. Bruno wished the student all the best as he embark on his dream in search for knowledge.

The leader offered to help the A- student, who could to afford university fees as he comes from a poor background. The MP hopeful had previously promised to sponsor Brighton’s education until completion.

Reaching to the student after being admitted to the university, which resumed to its normalcy this week, Brighton, with all smiles in his face, was grateful and happy for what Bruno has done to him. He admitted that if the leader did not come for his aid, he would not have gone to school.

“ I am happy and a bit emotional. If it wasn’t his hard work and determination, I couldn’t have been to Moi University right now, considering the circumstances. I am so happy, grateful and humbled by Bruno’s actions, “ said Brighton.

He admitted that what Bruno did to him has acted as a role in his life, and has made him set his goals to work hard and achieve his dreams.

“ I must say, because of well-wishers, the people like Honourable Bruno and as a person who has gone through hardship, I must come back to my people and give a hand, one day,’’ he assured.

“If someone helps you today, tomorrow come back and help another,” continued the newly admitted Moi University student.

He said that Bruno is the right leader that will serve the best interest of the people, adding that, from his experience and interactions with the leader, Bruno is 97 percent capable to transform the area.

“ Considering having a foundation which has supported other students, it shows that he is someone who is focused and knows what he wants to do for the people,’’ he concluded.

Brighton is expected to spend four years in the institution pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
