As Kalonzo Musyoka, Wiper Party leader is planning to leave Azimio and form a political outfit ahead of 2027 general elections, he has received warnings against this move.

Taking to social media, Homabay township MP, Hon. Peter Opondo Kaluma has warned the leader that he should consider taking all his time with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and not to hover around with former DP Rigathi Gachagua.

The lawmaker told Kalonzo that leaving Raila is like leaving a bird in the hand and looking for two in the bush. He added that joining forces with with Rigathi Gachagua is like looking for a python in the push.

He said, “A bird in hand is worth two in the bush! H.E. Kalonzo: Take all your time with Baba, not Gachagua. Call for the company of Kaluma, not Waititu. Leaving Baba’s bases to seek imaginary support from uncharted “political territories” is like leaving an antelope in hand for a shaking bush – not wise, it could be a python in the bush!’’

Kalonzo has announced that together with other leaders including DAP-K party leader Hon. Eugene Wamalwa they are ready to come up with a new outfit, resorting to leaving Azimio la Umoja Alliance. The two said that ODM, an affiliate in the Azimio has joined the government and no longer an opposition party.

“ If we come up with a new outfit, it could even incorporate perhaps Azimio itself, so that is how focused we are,” Kalonzo stated.

On his part, Wamalwa maintained that new things are on the way and Kenyans will be surprised.

“All we can tell Kenyans is watch this space. We have a few days to the new year and there are new things that are coming,” Wamalwa affirmed.

Wamalwa added that the outfit will be the solution to Kenyans’ problems and save them from President William Ruto whom he alleged has pushed Kenyans into suffering.

“I believe this is the team that will save Kenya from corruption and corrupt individuals and from President Ruto and his punitive tax measures,” Wamalwa added.

The duo assured that they want to put the country on the right track and have good leadership. This new development was supported by former Kiambu governor, Hon. Ferdinand Waititu who said that Kalonzo Musyoka is the leader to watch.

“We want to tell people of Kitale that we will be in that coalition that will be led by Kalonzo Musyoka come 2027,” he stated.
